What We Do
HispanicHealth.info is a website and resource hub created by the National Hispanic Medical Association in coordination with NHMA’s Council of Medical Societies, Latino Health Advocacy Organizations, and the Hispanic Health Professionals Leadership Network to share resources with and improve the health of patients, providers, and community members. This portal was created in 2002 with an earmark from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to help fill in the gaps in healthcare resources for Hispanic people and raise awareness of the racial and ethnic disparities faced by Hispanics/Latinos in health and healthcare. Through the HispanicHealth.Info portal, NHMA hopes to create a space for its networks to compile information about health concerns and disparities specifically relating to Hispanic people. Our goal is to provide information and references from trustworthy sources and partners so that we can mitigate the disproportionate effects of health inequity faced by the Hispanic community.
